I’m so excited to introduce my newest quilt pattern—Buttons & Bows! This delightful design brings together beautiful bows and a sweet Irish chain with accent squares that give the quilt a cute tufted button look. A sweet design full of charm and cottage style
The soft and simple layout creates a timeless charm, and the bows add a touch of playful elegance. Shown here in soft peaches and greens, it brings a warm, inviting glow to any room. But don’t stop there—this design would be just as stunning in soft shades of blue, pretty purples, cozy creams, beautiful fall tones, or whatever color combination you like! Simply pick 2 fabrics for the bows and 2 fabrics for the Irish chain and border.
Quilting Tip – An easy way to create a pleasing color palette is to choose fabrics from the same collection or designer. Here I used 2 different fabric collections but all from the same designer.

How I Quilted the Buttons & Bows Quilt
For this quilt, I wanted the same quilting stencil I used on the Illuminate Quilt which was the whimsical Sun-Kissed Stencil. This is a beautiful floral & feather stencil design that creates a gorgeous flowing movement across the quilt. I did this beautiful free-motion design on my domestic sewing machine. It’s easier than you think and it turned out amazing. This quilt is perfect for edge-to-edge quilting, or you can do some outline quilting around the bows and stippling in the background, etc. There are so many designs that would be beautiful to do!
